Today, my principal was giving a speech and explicitly stated that “girls bully more than guys” and almost everyone I’ve talked to has said, “well, he’s not wrong.” Which?? Even if he was right, isn’t something he should say in an assembly. He didn’t even have a point, just said it as a fact and moved on. 

But the thing that’s really bothering me is that thinking that girl’s bully more than guys stems from the thought that guys can’t be bullied – that they need to be tough, and when they’re bullied they’re really just being wimps. Also separating it like that implies girls can’t bully guys and vice-versa. So, basically, I wish my principal would think about what he’s saying.
