Some time ago, this happened: Some Girls Are, by Courtney Summers was removed from a Summer Reading list in South Carolina. I was so upset! Frequently we hear about this or that book getting banned at some school, but this was a shock for me since it was the first book I’d read that I found out had this happen to it (that I knew of).
