Well, summer is officially here in Australia! We are experiencing heat wave conditions across the country, and I’m sweltering in 35 plus degrees! The land is very dry at the moment, brown and dusty - a typical Australian landscape. Communities are busy preparing for the bushfire season, and just in time as we’ve already experienced our first major round of fires this week - luckily nowhere near me! My garden is definitely feeling the affects of the heat - some plants are absolutely loving it, while others need a bit of love and attention. My vegetable patch has an abundance of fabulous produce - lovely courgettes, strawberries, rocket, tomatoes - and a pepper here and there!
After months of anticipation, the first novel in THE ADVENTURER’S QUARTET, The Lady's Command, had been released and is available for purchasing, in print, ebook and audio! While we’re on the subject of THE ADVENTURER’S QUARTET, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve been nose to the grindstone, finishing the remaining novels in the series. I’ve finished my outline and have plunged into the writing of LORD OF THE PRIVATEERS, the fourth and final installment in the quartet - I’m having so much fun crafting the most appropriate end, one that wraps everything up for each of the Frobisher brothers. The third installment, THE DAREDEVIL SNARED, is with the publishers (and possibly available for pre-order), and the second installment A BUCCANEER AT HEART, is already done and definitely available for pre-order.
A Buccaneer at Heart picks up from Edwina and Declan’s return from West Africa, and we meet Declan’s brother Robert and Miss Aileen Hopkins, a feisty young woman who has travelled to Africa to find her younger brother, Will, a naval lieutenant who has mysteriously disappeared. After realizing there is no way to deter Aileen from braving the African jungle to find her brother, Robert joins forces with her, and they plunge into the jungle with only their talents and inner strengths to aid them—and with the courage of their hearts as their guide. I hope you all enjoyed the festive season, and the mad rush leading up to it wasn’t too stressful. I enjoyed spending time with loved ones on Christmas Day, including running around with my two young granddaughters. What a joy it is to have children at Christmas - they really bring the holiday spirit to the fore.
I’ve also managed to sneak in a good romance novel or two, and I hope you’ve been able to do the same!

June 28, 2016 - DAREDEVIL SNARED, the third installment of THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET. The youngest of the Frobishser brothers, Caleb wants to be taken seriously by the rest of his family. He decides to seize the next leg of the mission his brothers have been pursuing in an effort to prove himself. Along the way he meets Miss Katherine Fortescue, and together they face the challenges and danger the mission—and the villains—throw in their path.
And then?
December 2016 will bring you the final installment of THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET, LORD OF THE PRIVATEERS.
2017 will bring the next Cynster novel, and after reading BY WINTER’S LIGHT, THE TEMPTING OF THOMAS CARRICK, and A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER, you should be able to guess which Cynster that will be.
In addition, we will be releasing the next Casebook of Barnaby Adair story plus one other book featuring one of those characters you’ve all wanted to hear about for so long – you will have met the principal character in a previous book but as to which characters it will be…we’re not entirely certain ourselves! More to come on that one.
