This phrase is like nails on a blackboard to me. I can't count the number of times I've heard people complain about a book or a movie "having no plot." For me, it's the easiest way of saying that you know nothing about story telling. I'm going to say this one time, so It is clear. Plot is a sequence of events linked by cause and effect. It's a process. A PROCESS. It's not some magical thing that a story does or does not have. You can't even really define it in terms off "good" or "bad." A
