New Release - Flesh and Stone by PM Hernandez

Good Monday morning and Happy New Year! I had the privilege of reading three advance copies over the break and I'll be highlighting them here over the next few weeks!

First up is P.M. Hernandez's Flesh and Stone! I met P.M. Hernandez last June at UtopyaCON 2015. Both being newbies, we hit it off right away and I am so excited to highlight her first book.

Flesh and Stone tells a story about Ellie, a seventeen-year-old senior nearing high school graduation. She has plans to attend college and become a doctor but inherits a large manor from a distant Aunt she never met. Ellie travels to the property expecting to finalize its sale and return to school. She becomes attached to manor and its eccentric decorations.

P.M. Hernandez has captured the spirit of a girl whose life is thrown a curve ball! The plot line had me guessing until the end. I kept wondering who the bad guy was, which choices she would make, and whether her world would ever make sense. This is a solid first book and I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next installment.

Flesh and Stone is an upper YA novel. The main character turns eighteen in the book so the series could be considered an upper YA or New Adult series. I wouldn’t recommend it for a younger YA reader.
