Sincerely Me…

sinsundaySo I thought since I have interviewed hundreds of authors over the years on this blog, that you would enjoy hearing me answer some of the questions I have posed to them over the years.

Each week I will answer one or two questions, if you want you can leave your own questions for me in the comments and I will try and answer them in a future blog post!

***** ***** ***** ***** ***** *****

What were you like at school?

I wasn’t studious but I got decent grades without cracking a book, but my heart wasn’t in it. I was however was blessed with one amazing teacher, who by a stroke of luck was my teacher for two years in a row. She was my grade 11 and 12 English teacher. She was the one teacher who knew I wasn’t living up to my potential and was the only one to stand there and force me to push harder. She wouldn’t hand me grades in any way. No I worked hard for everyone that I got but never got an A.

I will never forget the last essay I did for her. I spent hours on it. I put every effort into it. When I got that last paper back from her on the top the following words were written…

“You finally got it….  A”

Now every word I commit to paper is as equally thought out, equally researched, and equally prepared as it was for that last essay because she pushed me to live up to my potential.
