A New Year, A New Hope
2015 has now drawn to a close and I’m pleased to report that it was a slightly less crazy end to the year than I was anticipating.
Work ended on a positive, with me securing a permanent position in a team I was hoping for (yay!); Family came and went and presents were opened and enjoyed.
And most importantly Star Wars was seen and loved.
Words cannot express how pleased I was with the new Star Wars movies. Being a purist I was concerned it would be ruined – but it was good and I was quietly weeping with joy because of it.
Now as today is the First Day of 2016, of which there will never be another one – I have decided to write a few goals down in here. So in no particular order, here we go!
Kim’s Goals for 2016
1. Blog once a week
Blogging is something I’ve been very slack with lately but I am aiming to blog more often and more regularly by committing it down here in writing! Let’s see how long that lasts…
2. Travel
Every year I say I’ll go overseas and every year I fail. Not this year! Even if I have to board a plane alone I will be going somewhere!
3. Write
Life has been hectic and my health has been poor these last few months. Instead of pushing through and writing, I ended up just putting myself and my health first. Which in the long run was the proper thing to do, but in the short meant that I didn’t meet any of the deadlines I set myself last year. So this year I am aiming for the following:
2 Books for the Rough Edges Series
1 Book for the Dogs of War (ooh!)
1 short story every 2 months
We’ll see!
4. Take Time Out
Often I’m so harried and the husband is busy and our lives are crazy, that we just don’t take time to really sit and reconnect. So this year I want to do that. Reconnect with myself, with him, with some of our friends. Take time out of my day to breathe and put myself first.
So that’s it. My 4 goals of the year. I’d love to see your goals in the comments if you have any!
Have a lovely week and let’s see what this year brings.
Peace,
Kim
