First Post

Welcome to my blog. I’m kind of new at this. I have a lot to say but not much time to say it, but that could change I guess. I’m involved in lots of things and am thankful for all of the great family, friends and opportunities I have. The ability to purchase enough food to eat well, a roof over my head and a comfy bed are true blessings in a world where two-thirds of the people that live here don’t have access to a bathroom or toilet.

I don’t think there will be any central theme to this blog, although I could certainly choose to have one. Perhaps one will evolve, but for now, I’d just like to share my thoughts, interests and work in an open and random manner. I feel passionate about a lot of things, but I’m not fanatical about anything. Well, maybe composting, tequila, true craft beers and music. I like to write too. And bike riding, clamming, body surfing, woodworking, playing horseshoes and basketball, reading, gardening and traveling for pleasure, but not for work. And jokes that fall into the category of “groaners.” And golf, but I really suck at it. And that’s it. I swear.
