In a timely occurrence, a new star appeared on Christmas day when a star exploded as a nova – a smaller version of a supernova. And the Slooh Observatory will be broadcasting live views of the nova and its parent galaxy at 2:30 p.m. EST (7:30 p.m. GMT) today.
