Why the Joomla Version is Displayed Twice in the Backend?

This is an odd issue that may happens randomly. Recently I noticed the Joomla version was displayed two times in the backend after udpating to Joomla 3.4.8, however it could be there before and I wasn't aware.

Why this is happening? The short answer: a duplicated administrator module.
