So maybe this all happened much earlier (I wasn’t online at all today!), but so far it seems like no one is talking about the BBC Pure Drama trailer?? Or are people discussing it? Like… what is this?? Are they saying they’re going to do an entire episode made of pastiching clips together?!

It was pretty shite. I think many people were disappointed and felt manipulated by a marketing ploy. No, the BBC are not intending to do an episode, it was simply an exercise in confusion. It aired last night after Luther and many viewers were like WTF? Yesterday afternoon [in UK] several of us watched it but it didn’t even deserve discussion, think there was a collective; ‘moving on..’  

I woke up early to watch & it was a let down. I honestly still don’t get the John telegram thing…

The telegram thing definitely generated it’s share of confusion, but was fun to watch. Bonus question: which was more confusing, the Pure Drama trailer or the telegram thing?

The pure drama was completely weird. I sort of understand the telegram thing. It’s like a customized little thing for people to play with, but it’s kind of awkward in the way a lot of social media marketing to the youth is.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks for explaining, everyone! What was the John telegram thing, though? (Sorry! I miss one little day and the loop passes me right over!)
