One Good Thing

Contenders. I was nosing around the net today and came across one of the myriad of film sites I once frequented on a regular basis. Lately, I've noticed these sites becoming very snide and pessimistic and since I'm trying very hard to go the other way in my life, I've stopped visiting them so much. But there was an article on Awards Daily about next year's possible Best Actress Oscar nominees. The two chief contenders are Meryl Streep (of course) as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady and Glenn Close (!) as a man in Albert Nobbs. Might Glenn Close FINALLY get her Oscar! That's pretty exciting.

In the comments section I also saw mention of a new John Madden (Shakespeare in Love) film called The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, starring Maggie Smith and Judi Dench, about a retirement home in India. Woot! I love those two, and when they're together, I love it even more!
