The line that strikes fear in Capri - Do you trust me? on Thursday 13 #Thurs13

This is a fun read that I had a great time writing. So here are up to 13 sentences from Capri's Fate.

Kat waited outside the restaurant when my cab pulled up to the curb. "Timing or what? I just got here."After the requisite cheek kiss we stepped up to the Maitre D'. He smiled his, I- must-be-friendly-because-they're-guests, smile and escorted us to our table. We ordered drinks and chatted. We talked about the weather, her new dress, my job—you know, just old—no, scratch old, put longtime—girlfriend stuff. After a diet conscious meal, followed by a calorie-loaded dessert, we waited outside for a taxi. "Do you trust me?" With a goofy grin on her face, Kat's dark chocolate mellowed-from-too-much-wine, eyes gazed at me.Having seen that innocent demeanor before; it meant nothing but trouble. I was a bit wary. Okay, a lot wary! The last time she'd gawked at me like that and asked the same brainless question, we ended up at a frat house beer slosh during Homecoming and I wasn't in college anymore.

Corporate business woman, Capricious Gray, is dragged to a sex toy convention by her best friend. Once a shocking, mysterious disembodied voice helps her with her purchases, it follows her home. Passion ensues, leaving Capri torn between lust for her fantasy lover and the desperate need for reality in her life.

What People are saying about Capri's Fate
smoking hot!
This was so entertaining. In the beginning when Capri and her best friend go to the convention, I was cracking up. This book is sexy and was a pleasure to read. I loved Thall, he is a Fates son and I found him to sweet and charming, then demanding and pushy. But I love that he saw Capri and how hard she was on herself and that she was overworked and tired. He was perfect for her.
Not Your Average Romance
Capri's Fate, a supernatural erotic romance by Daryl Devore is not my usual cup of tea. I don't usually go for a supernatural element in erotic fiction BUT as I read this book I was pleasantly surprised. Capricious Gray attends an erotic toy convention with a friend and brings home more than she bargained for. Thall is the half-human, half-immortal Fate assigned to watch over the bold and audacious Capri. He's also the love of her life, or will be, if Fate will have it.
Capri's Fate is the second book I've read by Daryl Devore. I very much enjoyed A Kept Woman: A Billionaire's Story so I took a chance on this one. I'm so glad I did. By the way, at one point in the story, Capri was reading a novel on her Kindle, which turned out to be another by Daryl Devore, Black Dorn. I loved this clever book plug and immediately bought that one as well.
I recommend Capri's Fate. It's not your usual romantic read and I think you'll like it.
