sherlock wearing: the burgundy dressing gown

I just noticed that Sherlock is wearing a suit under his dressing gown at the beginning of tsot. He could have just worn the dressing gown over his pajamas like he usually does, why would he stand up earlier than usual, but on a suit and a dressing gown just to change into his best man suit later? He didn’t. He’s simply still wearing yesterday’s suit because he couldn’t sleep the night before John’s wedding.
