Why Does God Make a Way in the Wilderness?

Why does God provide streams in the desert?

I’d personally prefer if God just sent a helicopter to get me out of the wilderness places.  But sometimes, he calls us into a dry desert place, to test us and help us discover who we are and what we truly believe.

P.S. Yes, I  know Jesus was born in Bethlehem…little goof up there!
