Once again, it has been quite a while since my last blog. It is amazing how time flies. The holidays and day-to-day activities keep you so busy. Before you know it, a couple of weeks have passed and you wonder how you managed to get so far behind. I find it harder and harder to keep up with my “Things To Do” list and am still trying to finish the book I started in October.
Meanwhile, I did run across a short poem that I wanted to include in my blog. Since this is a site dedicated to reading books and I am a member of the Poetry Group, I felt it was appropriate. Here it is.
A BOOK
by Emily Dickinson
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!
UNTIL NEXT TIME, TAKE CARE! MARC
