Lessons learnt from my new floors

This is not a post about new floors, although it kind-of is

It’s more about what those new floors represent.

We (me) wanted new carpets last year but didn’t get around to it then and then it appeared on this year’s house to-do list.

Since this house is very cold in winter, I got quotes but we left it til after winter as I couldn’t bear the thought of non-carpeted floors in the midst of a cold, Joburg winter.

And then our plans were slightly derailed.
