HAPPY 150th BIRTHDAY, ALICE!

It’s not every day that a classic and cultural staple hits 150 years old. 150 years ago today marks the original publication of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland.

150 years and countless re-tellings in books, films, ballets, plays, etc. later, Alice has remained in our hearts and psyches. So while you’re enjoying your Thanksgiving, eat a few tarts and think of Carroll and his Alice.

Or, why not celebrate with a dark Alice re-telling?

As pictured above, Meditations In Wonderland, endorsed by my French bulldog Alfalfa, is a modern take on a classic. What would you do if you fell down the rabbit hole and found out that Alice wants you dead?

That’s exactly what happens to Elizabeth after she meditates and falls down a rabbit hole leading to a modern, dystopian Wonderland. Following Alice’s clues, Elizabeth winds through Wonderland, meeting some of Carroll’s most beloved characters (like the Tweedle Twins, the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and more, many in new forms). As Elizabeth gets closer to finding Alice, she also comes closer to finding out Alice’s secret, which holds the answer that Elizabeth was searching for all along.

You can find Meditations In Wonderland on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Happy Thanksgiving, and happy birthday, Alice!
