@agenttanha tagged me to share six random facts. I’ve shared a lot of random facts now and I don’t want to be repetitive, so… hmm. Okay: 

1. I like inventing recipes. I’m pretty good at following them, but I like going off-roading, too. Here, have one: 

Maple pecan cake: 

Mix half a cup of semi-melted or room temperature butter with 1+¼ cup of white sugar, then add an egg. Mix it all until very creamy. Add 1.5 tsp of maple extract and ½ tsp of vanilla extract. Then 2/3 cup of milk. Add in 1+¼ cup of flour and ½ tsp baking powder. Mix it all very well, then pour into a greased/parchment-lined 8″ or 9″ cake pan. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top and bake for 40-45 minutes. Remove from the oven and drizzle maple syrup (preferably real if you can get it) in a spiral pattern over the top. Voilà. :)

2. I know that I should like museums, and I do, sometimes. But most of the time*, after about twenty-five minutes, I start yawning and feeling like Sherlock in a bored mood, or like I need to lie down and die. If I’m with people who want to look at every single exhibit for ten hours, I generally find a bench and play homeless until they’re done and come collect my whiny, bored self and take us somewhere more interesting. I’m not proud of this. :P 

*unless there are dinosaurs. Or live butterflies. Or cool Egyptian things on a large scale. See? I like SOME stuff. >.>

3. I’ve been on a lifelong mission to make myself like yogurt. The only yogurt I’ve ever managed to actually like was a German one made by Zott. It’s completely unavailable in Canada, of course! I can sort of tolerate a few of Liberté’s Greek yogurts, but only certain flavours and definitely not at all if there’s any separation… *gag* If it was all just thicker, or less tangy, or… I don’t know. I want us to be friends, but I’m not sure it’s possible. 

4. I’m rather active in the Song of Ice & Fire fandom, but in a completely different way. I don’t write fiction and it’s not here on tumblr. It’s a much smaller community but it’s usually pretty fun. :)

5. I am a night person. Absolutely. I feel most alive from about 11pm-4am. I do my best work then. Unfortunately, the rest of the world is not nocturnal, so I have to shutter it away and try to sleep then. It’s a war between Established Things and myself that I fight daily. 

6. PMS makes me really, really weepy, as today has proven. Sigh.
