Why Not You?
Once there was a woman
With faith as strong as nails,
But untoward things did happen
And she felt she’d lost her sails.
When storms would come blowing,
The Shepherd never left her side.
She knew He was worth knowing
And, eventually, turn the tide.
Her faith was shaken harshly.
There was a price to pay.
Her life lived only partially,
In a wobbly kind of way.
She prayed, “O Great God Jehovah
Deep down I need to know YAH,
I’m hurting and I’m lonely.
I want to disappear”.
Then, came a band of eagle warriors,
Who sang to her their song.
They were all such lovely daughters,
Flying high above the throng.
She hooked her wagon to them
As they soared above the crowd.
She practiced daily wisdom
And sang her songs out loud.
She slowly saw within her
A prize from heaven above.
A new heart cleansed and whole again.
A gift of His great love.
Her faith had been recovered,
Her joy had now returned,
She had at last discovered,
The bright future for which she yearned.
He made her life a tapestry.
Of faith-filled love, of melody.
Order he brought, freedom, too,
