Writers Resource

Genreality is my baby, I admit it. It's a group blog that I started because I wanted more realist information about the publishing industry and since I was looking for that sort of thing, I had to believe others were too. It's been slow building a following, and many of our posts don't get a ton of comments, but the people who do follow are not only loyal, they're learning about the realities of living and working as a professional author.

Because of this, I was thrilled to find out that a post Carrie Vaughn wrote last March that was mentioned in this past RWA monthly magazine-it was about her decision to leave her publisher.

Genreality is a wonderful resource for writers, full of fabulous posts, and I'm thinking that it's a good time to remind other that this blog is out there, and what it has to offer. So…in order to entice you to become a regular there, I'm posting some links you should check out.

Guest Blogger agent Jenny Bent talks about contracts.

Regular guest Charlene Teglia started off her time at Genreality with a Ten Things About Writing post.

We talk about the craft of writing, Daily Life and offer tips and advice.

And we can't forget 2009's Realities of a NYT Bestseller by Lynn Viehl and it's Follow up.

If you're serious about a career as an author, you should be a regular at Genreality.
