The Touchstone

There’s an ancient legend about a stone that when touched to metal turns it to gold. Unlike other stones, the Touchstone was warm, not cold to the touch. It was lost on the shores of a lake amidst millions of stones that looked just like it. Vowing to find it, a boy began picking up each stone on the lake shore and if it was cold, threw it into the water. When he was an old man, he picked up a stone warm to the touch. But so deeply ingrained was the habit of throwing stones into the water, that he threw the Touchstone away.

Has that happened to you? Surrounded by opportunity, have your everyday habits kept you from perceiving and seizing them? Isn’t it time to start trusting and strengthening your intuition instead of your habits?
