It takes more courage to trust and love rather than to fear,
to remain open to possibilities than to hate what is different

It takes more intelligence to see truth in the media when
sensationalism and fear-mongering is so in vogue.

It takes more effort to seek out the truth in the first
place than to let kneejerk reactions take over.

It takes true equality to value the suffering of refugees
and bomb victims of countries with customs more different than ours on par with
the suffering of the victims in France.

It takes a heart more open to value Muslims on par with
Christians – or Muslims on par with other humans.

It takes more rationality to remember that terrorists are
driven by something other than religion, that no one person or group of
extremists speaks for an entire nation or faith.

Going through all that the world is experiencing right now
will simply take more, folks.
