The Devil in The White City by Erik Larson: Book Review

In a city preparing for the world’s fair a serial killer slinks around in the shadows. The Devil in the white city, Erik larson, chicago, worlds fair, serial killer, mystery, true crime

The author tells two stories side by side in a documentary style that entertains while it creeps you out in parts. The first story is how Chicago won the choice for the site of the world’s fair in 1893, and all the wonders that were revealed there. The second story is about the serial killer who used the excitement of the fair to lure young women to his killing ground.

I recommend this to anyone who likes a creepy serial killer true crime story. It’s also in development for a movie staring Leonardo DiCaprio.
