NaNo and me
It's NaNoWriMo (we all know what that is, right?) and I don't use it for writing, per se. Let's face it, I do NaNo almost all the time. I average writing 2 or 3 books a year, so that's NaNo-like progress.
What I used it for this year was Thinking Time. I thought about promotional possibilities, came up with some plans for my back list books, and thought through how I want my Endless Dream series to play out. I gave myself permission to chill and just think.
Now I feel energized and ready to take it all on -- in addition to the Volunteer Time Suck that is eating up all my free time. I'm looking forward to the holidays so I can start putting some plans into action. I really don't have time to do anything else before then!

Why I'm not here often
I work full-time, like 40-50 hours a week. I also write 2 or 3 books a year. And I have a social life. So I don't have much time to hang out online.

I do have a Facebook Author page (https://www.facebook.com/jayeAtplay) and I post there daily, and I have a blog and a web site and a couple of other blogs and ... so, anyway. You may not see much of me here.
But I'm here. Waving in the distance. ...more
