I remember you mentioning on a podcast once how it's funny how artists or people have such a hard time actually doing the things they know they love doing, specifically relating to creating art. Did you ever come to any personal resolution or is it just al

I wouldn’t say it’s a grind, but I find art to be sometimes a thing that pays back as much effort as I put into it, So in that sense it’s not always immediately rewarding.

I’ve heard artists talk about the difference between just working at the craft side of something (I guess that would be the grinding) before they hit a magic space of the lines doing more than they hoped.

I have different ways that I trick myself into getting started working. I like to do rough comic plans in coffee shops with no phone or access to anything but the paper and pencils I bring. and then Audio books help to keep myself drawing in my apartment for long stretches. but some things just take some serious concentration – I like that stuff. I think the risk and fun is in there.
