Plot: A historical fiction drama starring Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan, and Alan Alda based on the U-2 incident involving Francis Gary Powers whose plane was shot down over the Soviet Union and his release negotiated by James B. Donovan, an insurance lawyer, for Rudolf Abel, a KBG spy.
My thoughts: I was pretty young when this happened and probably a lot of the information was not released to the press. The acting was super and I was involved in the story. Coincidentally, there was mention of the chess tournament between Spasky and Fischer (Pawn Sacrifice). I recommend seeing this one.
