Erika I'm half way through and will leave my review ASAP!!

message 2: by Sophia (new)

Sophia Wow you are a speed demon! No worries about a fast turn around on the review. This release came earlier than we planned for. But thanks for offering to hustle, Erika!

message 3: by Erika (new)

Erika But it's so good, am having a hard putting it down!!!!

message 4: by Sophia (new)

Sophia Buahaha!

That's great! You're giving me one of those headrushes from excitement, here. :) We might have to toss your quote in for good measure.

message 5: by Erika (new)

Erika Use away!! I am having to write little blurbs of each story so I keep them straight!!! I just love them so far!!!

message 6: by Sophia (new)

Sophia Yes, I have to do little mini-reviews updates on my GoodReads review to keep track when I'm reading an anthology.

Cool! I told Christina what you said about not being able to put it down. She's stoked (I am, too)!

message 7: by Erika (new)

Erika Sophia, I only started the book this morning, have read it in between my patients when I was just sitting somewhere!!!

message 8: by Sophia (new)

Sophia So, it really is a read anywhere unputdownable! Yay! I love when a book does that to me, too. There are some really talented authors in that group and sometimes I find it hard to believe I got to share book space with them.

message 9: by Erika (new)

Erika I have to say I'm not always interested in the modern versions of JA, these moderns are great!!

message 10: by Sophia (new)

Sophia Modern retellings are tricky. Stay true to the story, but avoid stuff from the original that doesn't translate well nowadays.

message 11: by Erika (new)

Erika I know, that's why I hadn't been the biggest fan, too many variables. Regency is so much more romantic. But these moderns are good!!

message 12: by Sophia (new)

Sophia Music to my ears! I am totally sharing with the others. It will help save one of the nails they are biting now that release day is here. Haha!

message 13: by Erika (new)

Erika I'm always happy to oblige!!

message 14: by Sophia (new)

Sophia I just heard from Claudia. She said good things, too. Two nails now saved. Haha!

message 15: by Erika (new)

Erika You are so cute Sophia!!! True fans will never make you worry!!!! Just remember some people don't know how to play nice, but most do!!!

Sophia That is true! Those who enjoy books are always looking to say something positive. Sometimes, they don't have a story that can give them that and they have to show integrity and say a book/story disappointed. I gave out the review ARCs and expect honesty in return. You guys may not like something in the book and it might be my story, but that is how it goes. I am a rookie author hoping to get better as I go and I need constructive criticism. Will I be disappointed if it's all positive? Um, no. Haha!

Yeah, then there are the kids that throw sand in the sandbox. That might hurt a bit, but I'll do my best to take it like a champ. As a reviewer, I even got my share of mean comments or weird remarks because I had a different opinion. Them's the breaks, I guess.

message 17: by Erika (new)

Erika Constructive criticism is good only as long as you see it as a tool to grow.

message 18: by Sophia (new)

Sophia True words, there! It starts with our parents and teachers and then our bosses. Life's full of teachable moments if a person is the type who can be taught. I try to be. Ego can get in the way at times, but I try. :)

message 19: by Erika (new)

Erika I used to be super sensitive to constructive criticism, but as I got older, I feel I roll better with the punches. Lol

message 20: by Sophia (new)

Sophia Getting older has helped with me, but also I do better when I'm not in the middle of stress.
