Yes, Ten Thousand!

Ten thousand migrants entered Sweden last week seeking asylum and benefits. Yes, ten thousand!

The most vocal champions of this invasion have been the always politically correct toadies in the media who are also fanatical flag bearers for women's rights and gay pride.

Not one of them has yet to offer up an excuse for Islam's subjugation of women.

There are no excuses. One cannot support women's rights while offering an exemption to Islam that relegates women to second-class status.

Is Europe taking into consideration that these millions of anti-equality, anti-gay migrants will soon be voting in its free elections?

The cultural history of Europe is about to change.

Owlseyes I guess by the late 1990's they were around 15 million in Europe; they've been here for long.

In the UK the number of Mosques is significant, but in France, much, much more. They've been here for so long: Portugal was founded (12th century) on the idea of expelling them from our own (south) territory. Same with Spain.

Yet, I believe in integration. Some refugees are starting to be sent to Portugal under the EU quota-agreement,; maybe 4000 expected, soon. Past week: Syrians and Sudanese.

By the way, some years ago Chicago (the car industry) had a thriving Muslim community; the financial crisis (start of 2008) may have changed the panorama.

"According to the Pew Research Center, Europe's population was 6% Muslim in 2010, and is projected to be 8% Muslim by 2030."

David Gustafson Are you ambiguous towards sexual equality?

If you can present an argument favorable to Islam's subjugation of women, I would be very interested in hearing it.

Owlseyes I'm for equality.

Some (many, indeed) Muslims would argue on your issue ("subjugation") with the issue of the West prostitution.

Anyway, I believe Islam is not as unified as it seems (different pratices occur in different Islam nations). I believe in its reformation just like scholar Tariq Ramadan.

He's got many books published, namely:
To Be a European Muslim
by Tariq Ramadan
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

and: (quote) "As of 2009, Tariq Ramadan was persona non grata in Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia[19] Libya or Syria because of his "criticism of these undemocratic regimes that deny the most basic human rights".

David Gustafson One author and one book do not erase fourteen centuries of persecution and oppression.

If ten thousand anti-feminists crossed into Sweden within one week there would be protests throughout the country.

If ten thousand anti-gay activists showed up in Sweden within one week there would be marches throughout that small country attended by all of the big names in entertainment as well as the political elite.

Yet Islam gets a fee pass.

What is the source of this hypocrisy?

It is hypocrisy since Islam is both historically anti-equality and virulently anti-gay.
