Searching for the Battle of Adrianople

Legionary Gods & Emperors (Legionary 5) by Gordon Doherty Back in February I spent a few weeks in XI Claudia territory, researching the backdrop to 'Legionary: Gods & Emperors'

As part of my trip, I set out into the Thracian (north-western Turkish) countryside in search of the lost site of the Battle of Adrianople.

So, don your Indiana Jones hat, or grab a cup of tea, and read all about it here:

Thanks, Ben. I feel like I've been growing closer to the 4th century legionaries of Thracia with every book of the series, but it really was something to stand out there in the still, silent Thracian countryside and wonder 'did it all happen here...right here?'
