I’ve learned many things over many years

I’ve learned to smile through my tears

I’ve learned to laugh and I’ve learned to love

I’ve learned that true love is from above

I’ve learned to give and I’ve learned to take

I’ve learned that love happy people make

I’ve learned the difference between truth and lies

I’ve learned not to see everything before my eyes

I’ve learned to appreciate those around me

I’ve learned to live unselfishly

I’ve learned to be merciful and kind

I’ve learned that love is never blind

I’ve learned to be faithful and to be true

I’ve learned to give everyone his due

I’ve learned to be happy and to be sad

I’ve learned to do good and repent of bad

I’ve learned the lovely and the pure

I’ve learned a lot that will endure

I’ve learned that God will catch me when I fall

I’ve learned to put Jesus above all

I’ve learned to make my call an election sure

I’ve learned how to live forevermore
