Wading Into Serene Waters

dark water

Peace is an estuary that drinks from the sea of Divine wisdom.  From there it then trickles out into a network of veins that run through everything.  At its center; however, this lagoon is as still as silence herself.   Its waters are deep and, though serene, somehow full of possibility, as if all consciousness was born within them.

To step foot in this tranquility, we must be willing to drop our beliefs and judgments like discarded clothes upon the shore.  One tentative step at a time, as we wade into these mysterious waters, our memories, plans, and understandings all slip away like oil from the skin.  And as we take the final step into the deepest part of her embrace, all that we are, all that we have been, and all that we ever will be melt into one simple moment, one drop of consciousness in the great depths of reality.

When we are courageous enough to let it all wash away, what’s left behind is the body of the spirit.  It’s then that we can see these waters running through our own veins, filling every inch of our being with the wisdom and serenity of the Divine.  And suddenly we know that we can wade into those waters anytime, as long as we remain willing to first undress our souls.
