It's the first day of November and I can't sit still. This morning I decided that it was about damn time I get Sun Kissed, my debut novel, available for print. So I tortured myself all morning with fine editing, margin minutiae, and whatever else it needed. Dozens of proofs later and it was finally complete. Now all I have to do is wait for its arrival in the mail. (Relieved sigh).
I also decided to be ambitious and submit Sun Kissed to an award contest for the We Need Diverse Books Campaign. The winners are announced in March. If Sun Kissed miraculously gets first place, I get a shiny gold icon on my book. (Fingers crossed.) They also promised to purchase thousands of copies for local schools and libraries.
As for NanoWrimo, I'm not sure if I'm going to take it seriously. What will probably happen is this: me tweeting and posting on wattpad about how stressful Nano is, but in real life I'll write as often as I usually do. If I'm lucky, I might be able to write one chapter this month.
Later,
Coco
