A sound capitalist principle.
Yeah, but eventually you get married anyway and then one day you wake up and think “Oh my God, I married a cow.”
Or is it why buy the milk if you can get the cow for free? Ah, prostitution, the world’s oldest profession and also another sound capitalist principle.
Why is it illegal to charge for something that is perfectly legal to give away?
The problem with capitalism, it seems to me, is that it is organic and innate and comes natural and grows and continues to grow no matter what legal pesticides you spray on it. Drugs have been illegal forever and there are people making millions on them.
Supply and demand isn’t just a stale economic concept. It’s a, if not THE, driving force in human society.
I find this fascinating, and while I admire the heart of the socialist, which is an adult, intellectualized version of pre-school’s “share and share alike”, it can’t compete with the human need and the human greed which will satisfy it.
