steinerfrommars:

Here is a sneak peek of what Hwei (Lalage) and me have been up to recently, and a reminder that Mirror - the story we are building together inside the 8house universe - starts in December the 2nd.

Parts One and Two are ready to preorder so, if you like what you see, please don’t forget to tell your local comic store. You can download a print version of the preorder form included above through this link to take it with you.

The official titles are:

8HOUSE #6 MIRROR PART ONE (OF 4) Item code SEP150518
8HOUSE #7 MIRROR PART TWO (OF 4) Item code OCT150524

MIRROR starts with a four part sci-fantasy story arc focussed on the House of Healers: a noble magical guild based on flesh and body magic. And it will be the first one of the 8house series to happen in
continuity - from December to March - to follow later in
another story.

Each issue
contains 28 pages ( out of 32 ) of comic narrative: a main story and
short epilogues, as well as
concept art, designs, timeline keys and glossaries…

Please find a short synopsis for the first part below:

Zun, an evolved lab rat, has lived in the Esagila all her life with her best friend and maker Ivan. She is used to all the strange things within it - man-animal hybrids, mythological creatures made flesh, memories of animal rebellions, and stories of past tragedies. But when the head mage Kazbek proves too ruthless in his search for results, she finds herself entrusted with a new and urgent duty - to find a legend from the colony’s past and Ivan’s regrets, to try to stop him.

If you want to know more about 8house, David Brothers wrote a really nice article in the Image site explaining everything.

Here is the press note for Mirror Part One including some preview pages.

The first issues of Arclight, Kiem and Yorris have been already released and they are available here.

Also the magnificent From Under Mountains.

Thanks a lot for your support!
