How can I get myself to stick to a meditation practice? I'll be good with it for awhile then just completely fall off my groove and it's so hard to get back on track...

Honestly sticking to it is one of the toughest parts - like any development of a routine it’s going to take discipline and repetition. But I have a few “hacks.”

First, setting a meditation timer on your phone for the same time each day can be a great strategy, that really worked for me in college. Think of the alarm sound as your “call to prayer” of sorts.

Another option is downloading an app so you can practice “on the go” if there is a time of your day you have forced downtime - like a subway or bus commute. HeadSpace and Ananda are great options there.

Last, there’s a guided meditation coming up with Oprah and Deepak Chopra - these are great because they’re daily for 21 days, 10 minutes each. It’s great to help get you into a routine, and Deepak’s voice is absolutely mesmerizing. They’re well done. Their latest one starts on November 2nd and the theme is “Become What You Believe.” You can sign up for free here. I’m going to do it, do it with me!

I hope that helps, wishing you light on your path!

Anna
