Steam-Powered IS HERE!!!
It's here! If you didn't pre-order and wanted to wait 'til the book came out, now is your chance. The paperback is on sale at TorquereBooks.com, Torquere's book store. I am told it will be on Amazon shortly, so please don't fret if you've been waiting!

If you pre-ordered this book, or buy it this month, that's by the end of January 31st (let's say my time, US Pacific time), I will give you the drawing I've been posting teasers of. I'll ask that you don't share it further, but you can print it for your own use. It'll be big enough to be printed at 300dpi. (Full disclosure: I have Moar Ambitious plans for the picture too, for which I will probably make a small full version generally available in a couple months; however, it won't be nearly as cool as the full-size thingy.)
Now, I want to promise that the drawing will be done by Jan 31st, but given health foo I can only promise to give it my best shot, and that you'll get it as soon as I have it.
(ETA: I should probably mention that the character depicted in my drawing is the POV character in my Steam Powered story....)
I've seen this artwork (process pictures of which) Shweta has been posting for awhile now. And folks, it is truly wonderful and DEFINITELY worth your time :). If you've preordered be sure to tell her so she can get the picture to you.
Now, as always, small press books like Steam-Powered need all the help they can get, especially when they are chock full of characters who are lesbians and women of color. If you could help me spread the word I'd be very thankful. In fact, make an icon promoting the book and post it here and I'll enter you into a drawing for a third Steam-Powered-inspired necklace and a copy of the book. :) You have 'til Feb. 10, so get going!
Also, I know that I owe a drawing for two necklaces, which I was hoping to get done before Christmas. Circumstances beyond my control prevented this from happening (i.e. having to move), and I deeply apologize. I will be officially doing this drawing on Friday Jan. 28, so watch this space! Since I don't have the books on hand at the moment, I will be shipping the prize (and the postcards) in early February. Once again, my apologies for the delay.
