Does the reduced page count mean a reduced price point?

For Island? Unfortunately not or at least not initially.

Right now (& until #7) it’s at 112 pages for $7.99 vs the average comic on shelves that are around 2.99 or 3.99 for 20ish pages (say $1.50ish for 10 pages) so even at 72 pages for $7.99 it’s still a better comics page per dollar deal than most books.

But still, I hope to bump the page count back up if we can get away with it and still get the creators involved advances.
