God is Immutable

Immutable: not capable or susceptible of change

ἀμετάθετος
ametathetos
am-et-ath'-et-os
unchangeable, or (neuter as abstract) unchangeability: - immutable (-ility).

 

This Truth about God, that He changes not, Beloved, this is the ANCHOR of our faith.

You know what an anchor does for a ship, keeping it steadily in the place that the captain has placed it, even during the storms - so this Truth about our Lord will anchor your faith during the trials and storms of life. During times of doubt and despair. Of darkness and pain.

 

Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel,

confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie,

we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Heb 6:17-19
