Stephanie's October Blog

The weather has warmed up, and Spring is definitely in the air. Blossom is bobbing on the trees, leaves are unfurling – and I had to chase a wallaby out of my garden this morning! He – or she – was sampling the new growth on one of my small Japanese maples – the nerve!

But let’s plunge into more writerly happenings. For all those who have been waiting, the US-mass market paperback edition of BY WINTER’S LIGHT has just gone on sale. It should be available everywhere you normally find books, so be sure to snag your copy while it’s on the shelves. I’m not sure when a similar edition will be out in the UK and ANZ, but I assume it will be soon.

I know many of you have been waiting patiently to get your hands on this print edition. Click on the above link for details, excerpts and buy links.

Following soon after – on December 29, 2015 – we’ll have the global release of the first volume of THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET, my latest swashbuckling adventure-romance series, this time combining high-seas excitement with adventures in deepest darkest Africa. Of course, romance abounds! The adventures start with The Lady's Command, in which Lady Edwina (the sister of Neville Roscoe from The Lady Risks All) and her new husband, Declan Frobisher, sail to West Africa in search of answers for the Admiralty and our old friend, Royce, Duke of Wolverstone, and along the way, discover what it’s going to take to make marriage work for them both.

The Lady's Command (The Adventurers Quartet, #1) by Stephanie Laurens

If you haven’t had a chance to arrange your pre-order, head to my website to find details of where to buy in print, e-book, and audiobook. The novel will be released globally on December 29, 2015.

For those on Goodreads, there’s a Goodreads Giveaway for copies of this book – 10 copies, global access. Open now, until November 12, 2015. Click HERE to enter.

And just today we’ve uploaded a second extended excerpt for this book. If you haven’t yet read the first excerpt – all of Chapter 1 – it’s HERE. And the second excerpt – all of Chapter 2 – can be accessed HERE, or from the link at the end of the first excerpt.

The second volume in the quartet, A Buccaneer at Heart (to be released on April 26, 2016), is finished, and the cover, blurb, and details including links should be up on this site in November.

And I’m currently polishing the manuscript for the third novel in the quartet, THE DAREDEVIL SNARED (to be released on June 28, 2016).

A reminder for those who haven’t yet grabbed it, the digital file of the Cynster Family Tree Poster is now available to everyone, globally. You can all access it easily – click HERE to download your copy.

As I mentioned last month, I’ve been examining how to schedule my future releases to best satisfy you all, and I am now planning to release at least one of each ongoing series – one Cynster Next Generation and one Barnaby Adair mystery – a year, commencing in 2017. Plus, each year from 2018, you will get a third story featuring one of those characters you have all wanted to hear about for so long. So three books (at least) per year – I can’t promise not to write more!

So…What’s up next?

December 29, 2015 - THE LADY’S COMMAND - the first installment of THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET. Meet Captain Declan Frobisher and Lady Edwina nee Delbraith and follow them on their journey of discovery into love, marriage, and a secret mission that uncovers a dastardly scheme.

April 26, 2016 - A BUCCANEER AT HEART - the second installment of THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET. Follow Robert Frobisher, Declan's brother, as he takes on the second stage of the mission - and runs into Aileen Hopkins, a determined spinster who proves to be an even greater challenge.

And then?

Later 2016 will bring you the third and fourth (final) installments of THE ADVENTURERS QUARTET.

2017 will see the next Cynster novel released, and after reading BY WINTER’S LIGHT, THE TEMPTING OF THOMAS CARRICK, and A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER, you should be able to guess which Cynster that will be. In addition, we will be releasing the next Casebook of Barnaby Adair story, featuring the romance of a character you will have met in previous books.

And there are many more stories on my TBW (to be written) List to follow after that. In short, there are lots more books coming your way.

If you want to keep abreast of details of what’s in the pipeline as well as being notified of my latest releases, joining my Email Newsletter List is the safest bet. It also carries links to exclusive sweepstakes and sneak peek excerpts. If you haven't yet joined, the ribbon link is to the left. Click to join - it's easy!

Валентина Thank you for your wonderful books, read their all. But I think there is no one product between the last book in the series Bastion Club and the first book of the series Black Cobra Quartet. Logically, there should be a book-crossing. For example younger brother Miss Kathryn Cranmer «Kit», which would be served in India in 1821 and interacted there with Martin Fulbridge and Dyan St. Laurent Dare, where he met the daughter of Ralph Ensworth and his wife-Indian Selma, cousin Emily Ensworth. This role is performed the book The Lady Risks All between series Black Cobra Quartet and The Adventurers Quartet. Write a book about spies, secret agents, they have a much more interesting than a book about Cynsters Next Generation. Personally, I find it hard to see the elegant and sexy cousins The Bar Cynster old grandfather. Psychologically better perceived by their parents when they were young, what heroes favorite novels that have become old men. This is my personal opinion.
