Reed, if you had any concerns about taking on the Jesse Stone character, they have dissolved with this novel. You have successfully portrayed Jesse as a flawed character and as one who is trying and succeeding in small steps. You are not letting him languish in his flaws, not letting his flaws direct his life, and not erasing his flaws. Jesse is not perfect, and then who is?? Yes, I enjoyed THE DEVIL WINS and I can't wait for the next one in the series - the mystery to solve and the growth of Jesse Stone.
