When The Man Comes Around

There’s a reason why the phrase “be not afraid” is commonly spoken by angels in the Bible.  Encounters with the divine are terrifying. Add onto that the bizarre and horrifying descriptions of the end times in Revelations, sung with husky conviction by Johnny Cash, and you’ve got “When the Man Comes Around.”

And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts, and I looked and behold, a pale horse, and the name which sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.
