I worry sometimes you don't understand what type of impact your books has. One of my buddies his sister is mute by a muscular disorder some of her face and vocal cords showed her Strix She smiled and that for her takes effort.

Wow.

That is lovely to hear.

I do have some idea of what stories can mean, I have a stack of letters from people that are about extremely meaningful things that have happened to them because of my stories. Wonderfully moving letters, about very serious things…it’s hard to even talk about them. I just read a letter a reader wrote that said that reading Creote and Savant allowed her to come out to herself as a gay woman. I’ve had many, many readers say that a book helped them choose not to hurt themselves. And characters like Burden and Vengeance Moth and Scandal and Ryan Choi have meant a lot to many people.

I am underselling it because it’s overwhelming to realize. I know comics and stories helped me make it through very very dark times. It means a lot to me to try to pass that on a little bit.

Please say hello to your friend’s sister from myself and Strix.
