I bet the Internet has a lot of dogs crapping.
I missed it! ("How?" you might well ask, "It was the fucking MOON!") Ummm - I forgot! To make things worse, my wife (who works early shifts) was leaving the house at 07:00 the following morning and she said (very casually) "Oh, yes - when I looked East this morning, I could see the sun rising and when I turned to the West I could see the blood moon descending to the horizon." Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Mind you, my past record on the viewing of solar/lunar phenomena is hardly stellar (yes, that was intentional...) In 1999, My wife and I and my in-laws went to Cornwall to watch a much-feted, full solar eclipse. This involved a 250 mile drive (which took over six hours, as 'everyone else in the world' were also going there for the same reason). When we arrived, we found a 'good' spot and...it got very dark. That was it. There was so much cloud cover that we didn't see the sun at all. To make matters worse, when we got back home everyone was saying "Oh yeah, we saw it - of course, it wasn't a total eclipse up here, we 'only' saw about 90%." Well that was 90% more than I saw.

That's true.
Unlike that time when I travelled all the way to Ulaan Bataar to attend the World Invisible Yak-Baiting Championships. I never did see that guy who sold me the tickets again...

Well they say that in press releases but are they? Really?
