This week’s word is:

inimical– (adjective)1. adverse in tendency or effect; unfavorable; harmful. 2. unfriendly; hostile.

This is one of those words whose meaning always caused me some confusion. For some reason, I assumed it was more along the lines of “friendly” or “comical.”
