Hooray! Baby animal of the week again! This week, an assortment of albino baby animals.
Albino turtle!
Albinism is a hereditary condition present in many species of animals, characterized by partial or total lack of melanin, which helps protect skin from the sun. As a result, albino animals are more susceptible to skin cancer.
So pretty! Tigers, from the Albino to the Siberian. or is that the Bengal?
Albino raccoon!
Albino hedgehog!
Albino animals also lack pigment in their eyes, which look pink or red as a result.
Albino wallaby!
Albino frog!
ALBINO KOALA!
Not all white animals are albino. Apparently this peacock is not an albino, for example. It's just pretty.
Which one is your favorite?
