A hertwarming story

I am getting ready to fight that major battle, with luck in the next day or so (time out for a few football games tomorrow, of course.) But I took a brief break to post this heartwarming story. They are sadly as rare as dragon’s teeth, so we need to share them whenever we can find one. http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/west...

Rebecca I know, I loved it too....I tried to put the vid on facebook but couldn't figure out how to do it....So thought I'd share the story here with some fellow dog lovers.

BTW: Took Barney and Sheba too the park where the circus is in town....They saw their first ever camel(in one of the cordoned off areas) Barney HATES camels LOL....

Sharon I bet they did a classic doubletake, Rebecca. I still remember the shocked look on my elkhound's face the first time she saw a horse.

Aren't dogs gorgeous?..And the first time they see their reflection, it is hilarious and makes you wonder what DO they think they look like? LOL

Sharon Many years ago, when I got my first poodle puppy, I took her to a groomer for her fist grooming. It was not that awful poodle cut; that is dog abuse. But she went from being a shaggy little sheep to a curley-coated poodle. When I took her home afterward, she kept disappearing into the bedroom. I followed her in and discovered that she was sneaking in to look at herself in the mirror. I know many scientists say that dogs don't have a sense of self-awareness like elephants do. But they never met my poodle, J.Z.

love that! And yes, I agree, I hate seeing pets used as fashion accessories, some owners even paint their dogs toe nails! And the latest 'craze' is downright cruel--to put a rubber band around your pets ears, absolutely insane and these owners should be fined!

I never take note of what the experts say about dogs or cats for that matter, they don't have a clue.

Did you hear about the boy who was getting beaten up and his cat managed to get out of the house and flew at the bully who was beating him up...The cat now follows the lad everywhere and even sleeps by his bed. I love these pet stories.
