The Anderson High Wolves series is winding down. Mason and Natalie’s story will be hitting the virtual shelves mid-October. Which means, we need a little teaser…
For Natalie Lombard, the clock had started ticking toward the moment her life was destined to change a little over two years ago.
Everybody else in her senior class was counting the months until graduation. Not her. She had her eye on the end of January. The twenty-ninth, to be exact.
The sad part of this countdown was how she dreaded it.
What was coming wasn’t good. Quite possibly, it was the worst nightmare she could imagine.
Whenever she had these thoughts, she’d remind herself there was the slightest possibility she’d given the coming moment more weight than it deserved. Maybe things would be okay. Maybe what had been whispered to her hadn’t been as sinister as she imagined.
Then she’d be forced to sit through another excruciating video call with her family and she’d be reminded there was no way out of her predicament if he did decide to follow through.
