I wanted to say first that your poetry is amazing. I connect with it so much, and there's so little poetry that I can sit and read, but yours is one of those. But also, your style has affected mine greatly, and I love what's begun to flow into my mind, but

Hey, jellybean!
So, there’s a really big difference between being inspired by someone’s style and plagiarism. Style is something that evolves organically and often takes on the attributes of other writers we admire, especially while we’re trying to carve out a niche of our own. When workingonhumble and I went on tour, suddenly my work started to sound a lot more like his and his work started to sound a lot more like mine. We weren’t stealing from each other; we were just helping each other grow in new directions that we might not have found on our own.

Obviously, taking someone’s words or thoughts isn’t okay, but being inspired by someone’s style is completely fine! And honestly, most people probably won’t notice. There are hundreds of thousands of writers out there. Some of us have similar styles. That’s okay! You’re style will get more and more unique the longer you are writing and the more you learn about yourself.
