How did you gain publicity on this blog? I've been stuck at like 200 followers forever and my writing rarely gets more than 20 notes.

It’s honestly just patience. The first couple hundred followers are the hardest. It’s kind of a snowball effect–the more followers you have, the more reach your posts have, the more new people see your poetry, the more new followers you get.

It helps to post frequently. New writing gains you exposure. When I first started this blog, I sometimes posted new work as often as four or five times a week. I’ve slowed down, now. Partially due to life circumstances, partially due to my personal standards for my work changing, partially due to the fact that I’m trying to save some of my poetry to put in my books or to submit to magazines. But in the beginning? I posted CONSTANTLY.

So yeah, there’s not really a trick to it. Lots of patience and lots of content and you will slowly but surely gain publicity.
